An Act to consolidate and amend the provisions relating to offences and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita is the official criminal code in the Republic of India. It came into effect on 1 July, 2024 after being passed by the parliament in December 2023 to replace the Indian Penal Code, which dated back to the period of British India.

भारतीय न्याय संहिता भारत में १ जुलाई २०24 से लागू एक नयी न्याय संहिता है। यह एक व्यापक संहिता है जो भारतीय दंड संहिता, आपराधिक प्रक्रिया संहिता और साक्ष्य अधिनियम के स्थान पर लायी गयी है। 11 अगस्त 2023 को भारत के गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने लोकसभा में भारतीय न्याय संहिता विधेयक, 2023 पेश किया।
