“Not Our Area” – How to Handle Police Refusal with Zero FIR

We have all heard stories of people running between police stations while officers argue over whose “area” the crime falls under.

Under Section 173 of the new BNSS, I want you to know that you have the power to demand a Zero FIR. The law says the police officer must record the information “irrespective of the area.”
